Job Overview
VANS V&A is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join its dynamic retail team in Cape Town. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are enthusiastic about streetwear culture, and enjoy delivering memorable customer experiences.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining strong visual standards, and representing the VANS brand with authenticity and energy.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver outstanding customer service and build lasting customer relationships
– Drive sales through strong product knowledge, styling advice, and KPI focus
– Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
– Replenish stock and maintain high visual merchandising standards
– Support a positive, energetic, and brand-aligned store environment
– Act as a brand ambassador, embodying VANS values and culture
– Remain flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and peak retail periods
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year sales experience in a similar retail or lifestyle brand
- Strong interest in streetwear, sneakers, youth culture, and action sports
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for sales performance
- Positive, motivated attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Genuine enthusiasm for the VANS brand
