Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and passionate Cook to join our Back of House kitchen team in Mossel Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company recipes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in delivering well-prepared meals.
Key Responsibilities
– Set up and stock kitchen stations with required ingredients and supplies
– Prepare food for service, including chopping, portioning, and basic food preparation
– Cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
– Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery
– Ensure food is prepared and served on time and to a consistent standard
– Maintain cleanliness of workstations and handle leftover food correctly
– Monitor and manage stock levels in assigned areas
– Comply with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
– Assist with kitchen setup, organisation, and general housekeeping
– Maintain a professional and positive attitude with colleagues and customers
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role, such as:
- Cook
- Kitchen Assistant
- Back of House staff
- Caterer
- Deli Assistant
- Griller
- Pizza Maker
- Reside within 20 km of Mossel Bay
- Clear criminal record

- Candidates between the ages of 18 and 65
