Job Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Store Driver for its Three Rivers store in Vanderbijlpark. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in a timely, safe, and professional manner while upholding Dis-Chem’s service, safety, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver customer orders accurately and within specified timeframes
Prioritise fridge-line deliveries using approved cooler boxes and cold packs
Follow the shortest and most efficient delivery routes
Ensure all delivery documentation and invoices are correctly completed and signed
Return to the store immediately after completing deliveries
Repack the vehicle after deliveries to prevent damage to stock or the vehicle
Handle fragile and hazardous products with extra care
Collect and return store items and customer returns correctly to the receiving area
Process payments via EFT and cash (cheques are not accepted)
Maintain accurate delivery logs and vehicle logbooks
Ensure the vehicle is locked, clean, and roadworthy at all times
Conduct vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips and report defects
Adhere to all road traffic laws and company vehicle policies
Report accidents, incidents, customer complaints, and discrepancies promptly
Maintain professional conduct and excellent customer service at all times
Comply with health, safety, and uniform policies

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric
Valid South African driver’s licence
Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
Physically fit with good eyesight

Special Conditions of Employment

Willingness to rotate between stores and assist with other store duties when required
