Job Purpose

The Laundry Driver is responsible for the safe, reliable, and timely collection and delivery of hospital laundry between healthcare facilities and the central laundry, in full compliance with road traffic regulations and company standards.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Matric certificate
Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with a valid PDP
Clean driving record (no infringements will be accepted)

Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a professional driver

Key Responsibilities

– Collect dirty laundry from hospital sites according to set schedules

– Transport laundry to the central laundry facility

– Deliver clean laundry back to hospital sites

– Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any damage or losses

– Maintain accurate records of kilometres travelled, fuel usage, and laundry movements

– Handle all information with confidentiality and professionalism

– Interact courteously with staff and stakeholders at all times

– Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean, safe, and roadworthy

– Assist with ad hoc transportation of staff, equipment, or supplies when required
