About the Role
Empact Group is seeking dedicated and service-oriented Food Service Assistants to join our catering teams in Claremont and Hermanus. The successful candidates will assist with food preparation, front-of-house service, and general kitchen support, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
– Perform tasks related to food preparation and service delivery.
– Provide front-of-house assistance, including serving customers and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
– Support the kitchen team with general duties such as dishwashing, restocking, and cleaning.
– Follow all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
– Ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation are maintained.
– Assist in creating a positive dining experience for all guests and clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification (essential).
- Previous experience in the hospitality or catering industry (essential).
- Customer service experience (advantageous).
- A qualification in Food and Beverage or Culinary Arts (advantageous).
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and kitchen safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Professional personal presentation and good hygiene standards.
