About the Role

Empact Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our Food Solutions and Healthcare teams across multiple Western Cape sites. Successful candidates will play a key role in preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced, contract catering environment, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation.


Key Responsibilities

– Prepare and cook meals for daily kitchen operations according to set menus and dietary requirements.

– Ensure all dishes are delivered to high-quality standards, meeting presentation and portion guidelines.

– Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.

– Support kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness, order, and efficiency.

– Collaborate with catering and service teams to ensure smooth daily production.

– Assist in special functions, healthcare meal service, and client events when required.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook in a contract catering or hotel kitchen.
  • Professional Cookery Certificate or relevant culinary qualification (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence.
