Overview

Heineken Beverages (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dedicated and physically fit Cellar Assistant to join the Worcester Distillery team.
The successful candidate will assist in cellar operations, blending, sampling, and dispatch processes to ensure product quality, safety, and operational efficiency within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Perform all general cellar activities, including product transfers and bulk handling.

– Load and offload bulk products on-site safely and efficiently.

– Assist with the physical blending of overproof brandies and other bulk products.

– Draw product samples for testing and organoleptic assessment.

– Transfer raw materials and blended components between tanks as required.

– Prepare and dispatch overproof brandies to bottling facilities.

– Participate actively in monthly stock counts and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

– Maintain cellar hygiene standards in line with OHS Act requirements.

– Conduct tank sampling, testing, and loss control with precision.

– Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and problem-solving initiatives.

– Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential).
Prior experience in a cellar, distillery, or beverage production environment will be advantageous.
Physically fit, with the ability to handle manual labour and equipment safely.
Strong understanding of safety and housekeeping procedures.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work overtime or extended hours as required.
