Overview

Tiger Brands is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Cooker to join its production team in Boksburg.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining cooking equipment in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

– Operate Critical Control Point (CCP) equipment in accordance with SOPs.

– Adhere strictly to HACCP and food safety principles.

– Identify and assist in implementing corrective actions when deviations occur.

– Conduct and record operational checks, including downtime and wastage reports.

– Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

– Report any equipment malfunctions or unsafe practices to the supervisor.

– Ensure personal and factory hygiene standards are met at all times.

– Support the production team by following all health, safety, and quality protocols.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Functionally literate and numerate.
  • Understanding of process specifications, recipes, and data interpretation.
  • Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accurately.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent understanding of production goals and process efficiency.
  • Able to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
  • A team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and eager to learn new processes.
  • Willingness to undergo training and become multi-skilled.
