Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Packers to join their teams at the Greenvalley (Greenstone) and Longmeadow stores in Gauteng.
These roles require efficient, accurate handling, and packing of stock to maintain operational excellence and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

– Unload and receive stock deliveries from suppliers.

– Verify that all products are correctly received and allocated.

– Handle goods carefully to prevent damage and personal injury.

– Sort and pack items onto pallets for checking and distribution.

– Identify discrepancies such as damaged or mislabeled goods and report them promptly.

– Work closely with the Receiving Clerk to check and sort stock.

– Accurately pack products onto shelves or pallets following company standards.

– Complete all required administrative forms for damages or accidents in line with company SOPs.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
At least 6 months of retail or warehouse experience (preferably in receiving or packing)
Basic mathematics and computer literacy (MS Office)
Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely
Willing and able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
Clear criminal and credit record
Reliable transport or residence near the store

Competencies

Good command of English (written and verbal)
Attention to detail and accuracy
Trustworthy, honest, and reliable
Knowledge of logistics, distribution, and supply chain operations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
