Overview

Truworths is seeking a General Assistant to join its Coastal Operations Display team in the Garden Route region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will help maintain store presentation standards and assist in setting up displays that reflect Truworths’ commitment to fashion, quality, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

– Assist in the setup and maintenance of store displays and merchandise presentation.

– Keep display areas clean and well-organized while maintaining high housekeeping standards.

– Stay informed about store promotions, new products, and visual updates.

– Support the team in implementing display and layout instructions from the store’s implementation manuals.

– Assist in maintaining and organizing models, props, and visual materials.

– Follow store security and safety procedures (OHASA).

– Provide courteous and professional assistance to managers, staff, and customers.

– Uphold Truworths’ image by maintaining a neat, professional appearance and positive attitude.

– Work closely with the team to achieve store goals and maintain overall presentation excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Experience in retail, general assistance, or display setup is advantageous.
Basic understanding of store layouts, displays, and housekeeping duties.
Must be physically fit — able to lift, carry, stand, bend, and stretch during shifts.
Valid driver’s license (advantageous).
