Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our facilities team in Johannesburg South.
In this role, youโll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across residences, offices, and shared spaces.

Key Responsibilities
– Perform all basic cleaning duties in and around office buildings or residences.
– Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all floors and surfaces.
– Empty trash bins, replace liners, and ensure waste is properly disposed of.
– Clean restrooms, including replenishing supplies, sanitizing fixtures, and mopping floors.
– Wipe and polish mirrors, glass, and windows.
– Maintain stock levels of cleaning materials and ensure cleaning equipment is in good condition.
– Transport dirty linens and restock clean supplies where required.
– Ensure cleaning is performed safely and efficiently, following all company procedures.
– Assist other departments when needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
– Uphold a professional and friendly attitude with colleagues and guests.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
- Previous experience as a Cleaner or General Worker (advantageous).
- Must reside within 25km of Johannesburg South.
- Clear criminal record.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning tasks.
Preferred Attributes
- South African citizen.
- Candidates aged 25โ40 years preferred.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment.
Assessment & Screening

- What steps would you take if you notice a safety hazard while cleaning?
- How would you handle a spill on the floor?
- What cleaning tools and chemicals have you used before?
