Overview

Birkenstock, under Ares Holdings, is seeking 8 energetic Shop Assistants to join its growing team in Fourways, Midrand (Mall of Africa), Canal Walk and Stellenbosch. Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

Acknowledge every customer within 30 seconds.
Deliver outstanding service following Birkenstock customer service procedures.
Assess customer needs and demonstrate product benefits.
Close sales and secure add-ons.
Build long-term relationships to turn customers into loyal Birkenstock fans.
Monitor daily sales against your targets.

Inventory

Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories daily.
Minimize shrinkage by zoning the store and following policies.
Accurately record stock entries in the POS system.
Process deliveries, check invoices, tag, hang, and price products.
Process customer orders efficiently.

Store Operations

Maintain cleanliness (dusting, mirrors, bins, vacuuming, change rooms).
Assist with store opening and closing procedures.

Training

Take responsibility for your training and development.
Attend quarterly training sessions and assessments.
Engage with your manager for monthly feedback and growth discussions.

Merchandising

Maintain stock presentation in line with Birkenstock standards.
Replenish sizes and update window displays/mannequins fortnightly.
Ensure POS materials are safely stored.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
At least 6 months’ customer service experience.
Knowledge of Birkenstock products (advantageous).
Ability to work flexible retail shifts.
