Overview

Hey Dude, part of Ares Holdings, is looking for 3 Shop Assistants to join its stores in Sandton, Fourways, and Mall of Africa. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading-edge international footwear and lifestyle brand known for growth, innovation, and an empowering team culture.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

– Acknowledge every customer within 30 seconds.

– Deliver excellent customer service and meet customer needs.

– Demonstrate product benefits using technical knowledge.

– Close sales and secure add-on sales.

– Track sales progress against daily targets.

Inventory

  • Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories daily.
  • Minimise shrinkage by zoning the store and applying policies.
  • Accurately record stock entries in the POS system.
  • Process deliveries, invoices, tagging, and pricing.
  • Handle customer orders.

Store Operations

  • Maintain housekeeping: dusting, mirrors, bins, vacuuming, counter and change rooms.
  • Assist with opening and closing the store.

Training

  • Take responsibility for personal training and development.
  • Attend quarterly training and complete assessments.
  • Meet monthly with the store manager to track progress.
  • Complete the Hey Dude rookie pack for growth and promotion opportunities.

Merchandising

  • Maintain stock presentation to Hey Dude standards.
  • Replenish sizes and assist with window/mannequin changes.
  • Store POS materials safely.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year customer service experience.
  • Crocs/Hey Dude product knowledge (advantageous).
  • Ability to work flexible retail shifts.
