Overview

Toys R Us & Babies R Us South Africa, part of the globally recognised “World’s Greatest Toy Stores”, is hiring 7 Shop Assistants across multiple branches. As part of this vibrant retail team, you will deliver exceptional customer service, create memorable shopping experiences, and help drive store sales while maintaining high merchandising and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

-Provide AWESOME customer service to ensure every shopper has a WOW experience.

– Attend to unique needs of customers and always put the customer first.

– Advise on product range, price, warranties, and promotions.

– Demonstrate, explain, and recommend products to customers.

– Maximise sales, upselling, and add-on services.

– Ensure correct pricing, stock displays, and merchandising standards.

– Report on sales trends (fast and slow sellers).

– Participate in stock takes and stock counts to minimise loss.

– Maintain housekeeping and adhere to store layouts.

– Execute promotions and sales events timeously.

– Protect company assets and reduce expenses in your area of responsibility.

Requirements

Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
Minimum 0-6 months’ retail experience.
Must have own/reliable transport (ability to work shifts).
Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
Highly motivated, target-driven, and presentable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
