Overview

BCE FoodService Equipment is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our offices, showroom, and warehouse facilities. The role is essential in ensuring a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties in assigned areas.
  • Empty and clean waste bins; transport waste to collection points.
  • Sweep, mop, and suction clean carpets (including spot cleaning).
  • Operate powered scrubbing, polishing, and spray-cleaning machines (training provided).
  • Clean and polish furniture, window sills, cupboards, shelves, and surfaces.
  • Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels.
  • Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, and drinking fountains.
  • Specialised cleaning of showrooms, collection areas, offices, racking, and stacking zones.

Requirements & Skills

  • Grade 12 (Matric) preferred.
  • Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment/industry.
  • Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Basic health & safety knowledge/first aid training (advantageous).
  • High energy levels and sober habits.
  • Professional, punctual, friendly, and hardworking.
  • Strong attention to detail; able to clean to a high standard.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with self-motivation and initiative.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
