Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting Store Cleaners across multiple branches nationwide. These roles are crucial to maintaining clean, safe, and hygienic store environments, including shop floors, stockrooms, dispensaries, offices, and canteens. If you have an eye for detail, are trustworthy, and can deliver consistent cleaning standards, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities
-Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across store and communal areas daily.
-Clean and stock restrooms and canteens at all times.
-Follow cleaning routines while remaining available for ad-hoc tasks.
-Ensure correct products/equipment are used for specific cleaning jobs.
-Place and monitor wet-floor signage during cleaning.
-Assist customers politely and professionally when needed.
-Uphold health, hygiene, and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements & Skills
Essential
-Grade 12 / Matric.
-Minimum of 6 monthsโ cleaning experience. (Advantageous)
-Good command of English; basic customer service skills.
-Willing and able to work retail hours (weekends, shifts, public holidays).
-Proximity to store (within commuting distance).
Advantageous
-Bilingual.
-Prior retail store cleaning experience.
Competencies
-Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
-Time management and ability to follow instructions.
-Presentable with strong communication skills.
Special Conditions of Employment
-Physically fit to perform manual tasks: walking, standing, lifting, bending.
-Reliable transport or residing near a store location.
-South African citizen with clear credit and criminal record.
