Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cashiers to join our retail team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions, handling payments, and ensuring customers receive efficient and friendly service. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong customer service orientation, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately operate tills, scanners, and POS systems.
Prepare and manage float at the start and end of shifts.
Process cash, card, and other payments quickly and correctly.
Handle refunds, vouchers, and promotions.
Assist with upselling products and services where appropriate.
Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and safety standards at checkout.
Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages by following store procedures.
Comply with security standards for cash and store equipment.
Keep work area clean and equipment in working order.
Provide courteous, helpful responses to customer queries.
Balance the till and ensure accurate end-of-day reporting.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum Requirements

Grade 10 essential (Grade 12 advantageous).
Basic numeracy and communication skills.
Ability to speak and write in English.
Computer literacy advantageous.
