Overview

Ster-Kinekor Theatres is seeking Festive Casuals to join the Bedford Nouveau team in Johannesburg during the busy holiday season. If you are energetic, customer-focused, and passionate about entertainment, this is your chance to be part of South Africa’s leading cinema group.

This is an entry-level role ideal for students, first-job seekers, or anyone looking for seasonal work in a vibrant customer-service environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform duties as Cashier (Box Office, Catering Sales, Collections), Cinema Assistant, Waiter, Poppers, or other functions as required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ster-Kinekor products, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
Uphold cinema presentation standards (age restrictions, posters, synopsis updates, disclaimers, and displays).
Prepare and serve food & beverages (e.g., popcorn, slush) according to quality standards.
Assist with shift preparation and storeroom management.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, counters, storerooms, and equipment.
Package, seal, and store products correctly.
Submit Health & Safety (H&S) reports and comply with company H&S standards.
Wear correct uniform and adhere to presentation standards.
Deliver an exceptional guest experience while reflecting Ster-Kinekor’s values.

Requirements & Skills

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12).

Experience & Knowledge

0–1 year’s work experience in a customer service or similar role.
Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge of VISTA ticketing system advantageous.
