Overview

Pick n Pay is recruiting for multiple Shop Assistant, Shelfpacker, Warehouse, and Service Area Assistant roles across five provinces. A total of 65 posts are available, ranging from checkout operations to bakery, butchery, deli, and stockroom support.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.
Assist shoppers by knowing product locations, features, and benefits.
Address customer complaints promptly and escalate when necessary.
Follow correct stock rotation, display, and merchandising standards.
Maintain outstanding store conditions, hygiene, and safety protocols.
Monitor cold chain processes where applicable; check stock quality and expiry dates.
Prevent shrinkage, wastage, and damages through careful handling.
Ensure accurate pricing and correct labels on all items.
Collaborate with colleagues and management for smooth store operations.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum: Matric (Grade 12).
Previous retail or customer service experience advantageous.
Ability to work flexible shopping mall hours, weekends and public holidays.
Hard-working, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
Passion for retail and customer service.
Proficiency in English; additional languages an advantage.
Assertive, team-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-centric with outstanding service orientation.
