Minimum: Bachelorโ€™s (IT/CS/Maths or equivalent, NQF7); 5โ€“8 yrs relevant experience.

2) Cyber Security Specialist โ€“ Cloud

Purpose: Research, design and mature cloud security capabilities & operations.
Minimum: Bachelorโ€™s in IT (NQF7) or equivalent; CompTIA CASP+ (or similar); 5โ€“7 yrs security ops across AD, CASB, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanners, Azure/Entra.
Key: Architect & deploy cloud controls; dashboards/reporting; triage minor breaches & support major incidents; threat-landscape scanning & remediation; address audit/pen-test/TIBER findings; policy/standards input; SLA-based incident handling.

3) Developer

Purpose: Build, maintain and support IT solutions for SARB Group.
Minimum: B.IT (NQF7) or equivalent; Java certification; 2โ€“5 yrs IT dev; 2โ€“3 yrs Java JEE/Spring/Spring Boot; 1โ€“3 yrs Angular/React, Oracle DB, REST APIs; Calypso v16+ development & configuration; basic Linux.

4) Team Leader โ€“ Administration (FinSurv)

Purpose: Oversee quality of correspondence & web-based applications (1FinSurv) for FinSurv.
Minimum: National Diploma (Administration, NQF6); 5โ€“7 yrs admin/shared-services; supervisory exp advantage.
Key: Route AD/ADLA applications; validate metadata; publish responses; template governance; records & reporting; system admin for doc/web systems; service-oriented stakeholder engagement; team performance & development.


5) Team Leader: Document Handling, Courier & Shuttle Services

Purpose: Supervise mailroom, courier and shuttle operations and service quality.
Minimum: 3-yr Bachelorโ€™s (Business/Admin/Commerce, NQF7); 5โ€“7 yrs client-services with โ‰ฅ2 yrs supervisory.
Key: Plan/allocate work; enforce SLAs & legislation; monitor driver behaviour (AARTO); manage counterfeit/damaged note intake; implement handheld devices with BSTD & Security; supplier performance; budgeting & reporting; stakeholder relations.


6) Junior Economic Statistician

Purpose: Support compilation/analysis across short-term indicators & national accounts.
Minimum: Honours (Accounting/Economics/Statistics or related); 2 yrs econ analysis/research.
Key: Research & sections of reports; data capture & validation; surveys & secondary data (Stats SA, SARS, NT); apply methods/standards; present to internal teams.
Skills: R and/or Python, MS Office, writing, deadlines, teamwork & independence.


7) Treasury Administrator

Purpose: Safeguard assets and manage cash transactions to supply high-quality banknotes.
Minimum: National Diploma (Business Mgmt with Accounting) or equivalent; 2โ€“5 yrs cash environment.
Key: Vault management; capture/verify bulk deposits/withdrawals; authority checks; NCMS integration; controls compliance; docs for charges; stakeholder liaison; self-assessment & learning.


8) Senior Economic Statistician

Purpose: Coordinate SAโ€™s G20 Data Gaps Initiative (DGI) participation and lead ESDโ€™s climate statistics framework.
Minimum: Honours (Economics or related); 8โ€“10 yrs economic statistics incl. international/climate frameworks.
Key: Country coordinator & secretariat chair; IMF liaison; link DGI to Integrated Economic Accounts; research on DGI themes; develop climate stats aligned to SEEA; integrate with macro frameworks; represent SA/ESD.
Competencies: Strategy, stakeholder leadership, methods expertise, presentation, policy insight, resilience.


9) Data Steward

Purpose: Steward enterprise data assets to provide high-quality, accessible information.

10) Data Engineer

Purpose: Build, maintain and optimise BI data pipelines enabling Data-as-a-Service.
Minimum: Bachelorโ€™s (CS/Eng/Maths/Info Mgmt/Tech, NQF7); 5โ€“8 yrs data pipelines/services.
Key: Implement standards (DataOps/DevOps/MLOps); design robust, versioned, scalable pipelines; monitor/optimise; distributed computing & performance tuning; share data services across SARB; resolve mart/warehouse/lake issues; security & risk compliance; stakeholder problem-solving; reporting & recommendations; mentor peers.

11) Senior Analyst Developer โ€“ AEM ร—2

Purpose: Deliver and support Digital Content Management solutions with AEM Forms.
Minimum: Honours (CS/IT/Software Dev); 8โ€“10 yrs dev incl. โ‰ฅ5 yrs AEM Forms; AEM certs advantageous; AEM as a Cloud Service experience preferred; team-lead exposure.

12) Team Leader โ€“ Information (ESD)

Purpose: Lead dissemination of economic statistics to domestic & international stakeholders per global standards.
Minimum: Bachelorโ€™s (Data Management, NQF7); 5โ€“8 yrs data-management with supervisory experience; stats/econ knowledge an advantage.
Key: Plan/allocate work; ensure timely publications; approve invoices; report to senior mgmt; represent ESD in databank/metadata fora; enable IT solutions for dissemination; compile guidelines; enforce policies; manage risks/controls; staff development.


13) Manager: Governance & Compliance (GSMD)

Purpose: Manage GSMDโ€™s security risk, governance & compliance programme.
Minimum: Honours (NQF8) in security risk mgmt or related; 8+ yrs security (risk/gov/compliance) incl. 2โ€“3 yrs management.
Key: Risk assessments & reporting; governance & compliance functions; run governance committees; integrate security risk with SARB Group risk; innovate reporting; policy/standards leadership; team performance; regulator/partner engagement.
Plus: Compliance/OpRisk certs, ISO 31000, ASIS CPP.


14) Manager: Security Assurance

Purpose: Evaluate physical/operational security vulnerabilities and recommend countermeasures.
Minimum: Honours (Security/Security Risk Mgmt, NQF8); 8+ yrs physical/operational security with 2โ€“3 yrs management; โ‰ฅ5 yrs NKP vulnerability assessments.
Key: Coordinate assessments & mitigations; project security; policies/SOPs; specialise in cash-holding risks; research emerging tech; lead ops security team; stakeholder engagement.


15) Divisional Head โ€“ Accounting, Auditing & Industry Analysis (PSISD/PA)

Purpose: Lead technical advice on accounting/auditing within prudential legislation; oversee industry disclosure frameworks (e.g. Pillar 3).
Minimum: CA(SA) or Fellow of ASSA; 10โ€“12 yrs financial sector/regulatory with โ‰ฅ5 yrs management.
Key: Strategy & operating plan; IFRS (9/17) guidance; auditor engagement approvals; Pillar 3 oversight; monthly industry booklets/trigger reports; stakeholder influence (BCBS, IRBA, SAICA, IASB, BASA, SAIA, ASISA); governance inputs; people leadership; risk & audit remediation; continuous improvement.


16) Divisional Head โ€“ Capital Management (PSISD/PA)

Purpose: Lead regulatory capital interpretation & assessments across banking, insurance & FMIs.
Minimum: Postgrad (NQF8) Accounting/Actuarial/Finance/Law; CA(SA) advantageous; 10โ€“12 yrs capital management with โ‰ฅ5 yrs management.
Key: ICAAP/ORSA/MI-CAP/FCSR oversight; capital instrument approvals; policies/procedures/systems; governance inputs; portfolio/resource management; team leadership; risk & audit responses; culture & inclusion.


17) Team Leader: Head Office Security Operations

Purpose: Supervise day-to-day security operations at SARB Head Office (National Key Point).
Minimum: Bachelorโ€™s (Security Mgmt/Risk Mgmt, NQF7); 5 yrs NKP security with โ‰ฅ2 yrs supervisory.
Key: Lead HO security teams; governance inputs; policy compliance; plan special events; resource provisioning; fit-for-deployment programme; implement risk/vulnerability recommendations; equipment readiness; internal/external risk mitigation.


18) Quality Specialist โ€“ Information & Technology Governance

Purpose: Establish and run the I&T Quality Management System (QMS) aligned to governance (e.g., COBIT).
Minimum: Honours (CS/IS/Informatics or related); 8โ€“10 yrs IT quality management; ISO 9000/1 & IT QMS certifications.
Plus: Six Sigma, ITIL, PMBOK/PRINCE2, COBIT 2019.
Key: Frameworks, standards & policies; stakeholder quality requirements; quality plans across processes/projects; maturity monitoring; training & evangelising QMS; effectiveness metrics; risk & compliance; reports & facilitation; change leadership.


19) SWIFT Specialist

Purpose: Design, implement, test & maintain SWIFT solutions for SARB, SADC and SAMOS.
Minimum: Bachelorโ€™s/Adv. Diploma (ICT, NQF7); 5โ€“8 yrs relevant experience.
Key: SWIFT Alliance suite, SWIFTNet & WebAccess; server OS, Cisco networks, IBM MQ, HSM, VPN, telco links; BCP/DR testing; health checks & audits; client assistance (incl. travel); standards/SOPs improvements; external data feeds (LSEG, Bloomberg, IRESS); GRC compliance.


20) Applications Technical Support Specialist (CODI)

Purpose: Provide systems availability & 2nd-line application support to CODI.
Minimum: National Diploma (ICT, NQF6) or equivalent; 2โ€“5 yrs app-support.
Key: Scheduled maintenance; incident troubleshooting; vendor code review; unit testing; controlled deployments; integration monitoring; security patching; BCP/ITSCM; change control.

21) Security Learning & Development Practitioner ร—2

Purpose: Plan, deliver & evaluate specialised physical-security training per legislation & GSMD strategy.
Minimum: National Diploma (Education/ETD, NQF6); 5 yrs operational security with โ‰ฅ3 yrs L&D facilitation; PFTC Supervise Firearm Training; PSIRA Grade A; medical/physical/psychological fitness.
Key: Blended training delivery; plan priorities & resources; regulatory alignment; assessments (formative/summative); impact monitoring & reporting; client liaison; continuous improvement.


22) Security Learning & Development Support Coordinator

Purpose: Drive end-to-end coordination across the Security L&D value chain.
Minimum: Diploma (Administration or ETDP, NQF6); 3โ€“5 yrs office management; knowledge of L&D, LMS, info & budget mgmt, stakeholder mgmt & reporting.
Key: Update materials; schedule/organise logistics; maintain LMS records; compliance of training documentation; evaluation tools & analytics; reports & recommendations; stakeholder liaison; admin support; strategy inputs; finance & procurement planning; budget monitoring.


23) Associate Economic Statistician

Purpose: Compile/analyse national accounts statistics and support senior statisticians.
Minimum: Honours (Accounting/Economics/Statistics or related); 2 yrs economic analysis/research with a proven track record.
Key: Data collection/validation; reconcile financial statements; short-term indicators; methodological research; monitor macro conditions; apply international standards; reporting & presentations; stakeholder engagement.

24) Manager: Programme Management Office (GSMD)

Purpose: Lead GSMDโ€™s PMO, standardising project & investment management and enabling value delivery.
Minimum: Honours/PGDip (NQF8) in project/programme management or related; 8โ€“10 yrs project-management with 2โ€“3 yrs PMO management; relevant PM certification.
Key: Methodologies, policies & frameworks; portfolio investment prioritisation; delivery tracking vs milestones/budget; portfolio budgeting & governance support; change management integration; PMO team line management; stakeholder communication & awareness.
