Overview
VANS Gateway is hiring Seasonal Shop Assistants to support peak trading. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates in Retail Management, Fashion, or Sports Management who want hands-on retail experience with a fast-growing international sports brand. Youโll deliver outstanding customer service, execute point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, and keep the sales floor beautifully merchandised.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, understand needs, recommend products, sizes, and fits; act as a brand ambassador.
- Execute POS tasks accurately and efficiently (scanning, payment handling, exchanges/returns, cash handling).
- Keep product knowledge current on ranges, drops, promotions, and events to give correct information.
- Maintain visual merchandising, replenishment, size curves, ticketing, and overall store housekeeping to standard.
- Support stockroom processes: receiving, packing, picking, transfers, and regular counts.
- Meet individual and store KPIs (sales, UPT, conversion, ATV) while delivering excellent service.
- Work collaboratively with the team; follow store SOPs, health & safety, and loss-prevention procedures.
Requirements & Skills
- Currently studying or interested in Retail/Fashion/Sports Management (advantageous).
- Retail or customer-facing experience (advantageous).
- Strong customer orientation; confident communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic numeracy and computer literacy; able to learn POS systems quickly.
- High energy, resilient under pressure, reliable, and punctual.
- Availability for retail shifts, including weekends, late trading, and public holidays.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and handle light to moderate stock movement.
