Overview

We are looking for a results-driven Sales Consultant who is passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate should have experience in selling life insurance products, achieving sales targets, and driving digital adoption.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an excellent customer experience by being attentive to customer needs and aspirations.
  • Adhere to governance, compliance, and ethical standards while escalating risks for investigation when required.
  • Execute high-quality work by following predefined standards and operational procedures.
  • Achieve sales targets in line with performance scorecards and maintain an acceptable cost of sales ratio.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase sales revenue and grow the client base.
  • Retain and sign unbanked customers to improve profitability.
  • Sell packaged financial solutions, including funeral cover, debt protection, legal, and health plans.
  • Maintain specialist knowledge of all approved products, application procedures, and fulfillment processes.
  • Maximize cross-selling opportunities and drive adoption of digital self-service options.
  • Complete administrative tasks, reporting, and updates accurately and within deadlines.
  • Contribute to team collaboration, inclusivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder and client relationships.

Requirements and Skills

  • Minimum Qualification: Matric (Grade 12).
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years in a sales-related role, specifically selling life insurance products.
    • Outbound and cold-calling call center experience is essential.
  • Certification: FSCA-recognized FAIS NQF 5 qualification.
  • Clear credit record is mandatory.
  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and target-driven environment.
  • Customer-centric mindset with adaptability and resilience.
